Visit Our Favourite Haunts

Just a few of our favourite local things to do:

  • take a walk down through our local woods to the River Wye and enjoy a glass of wine and food at the pubs at Symonds Yat East
  • a local walk (with Brecons views) on the Wysis Way to Joyford, visit The Dog & Muffler pub before tackling the hill home
  • visit Mallards Pike Lake for a stroll and a coffee at the cafe
  • take in the stained glass window and a stroll to Worgreens Lake before a visit to The Speech House

Get Creative While You Are Here!

Here at The House of Bread we run HOT POT POTTERY so you could add some creative flair to your holiday with a pottery class, pottery painting or spend time browsing our gallery!

You could hire a POTTERY PAINTING KIT to get creative in your cottage, book POTTERY PAINTING on-site in our studio, book a POTTERY TRIAL CLASS (with a 10% discount exc. delivery) during your stay or have a go at one of our ONE DAY THROWING WORKSHOPS. Or you could combine them!

If you wanted to book a few POTTERY TRIAL CLASSES while you were here we could, move things on and introduce you to some techniques we don’t usually cover including coiling, slab building and details such as turning and handles.

We take our visitor’s and our own safety seriously. As a result, at Hot Pot Pottery we follow Government and Leisure Industry advice closely and are registered with Visit England’s ‘Good to Go’ and The World Travel & Tourism Council’s ‘Safe Travels’ Schemes to keep Covid-19 risks as low as possible and encourage responsible behaviour on-site and in relation to bookings.
