The closest canoe hire centre to us is Wyedean Canoe Hire at Symonds Yat East (approximately 2 miles from The House of Bread). They have Canadian canoes which take 4-6 people so a whole family can go together or group of friends and they give you a briefing on techniques before you go.

Not for the faint-hearted! Based at Beechenhurst Lodge they have a climbing tower with 36 routes from easy to extreme and 2 vertical abseils.
There is also a new Junior version of Go Ape! Tree Top Junior Adventure -1 hour exploring the tree top canopy.

Just 5 mins walk from The House of Bread, Forest of Dean Adventure run Adventure Ropes which is a supervised, three hour, tree top adventure with high level elements including the Leap of Faith, the Pamper Pole, Crate Stacking, the Duo Leap, Jacobs Ladder and the Zip Wire! For ages 8 and over.
To find them, turn right out of our lane (Coopers Road) and then second right down Bracelands Drive, past the registration for Forest Holiday Lodges and The Retreat and they are on the right. Go Ape! is a tree top rope adventure for those over 10 years old and is approximately 15 minutes drive from The House of Bread at Mallards Pike Lake, Lydney, GL15 4HD. Fly down an epic zip wire, leap off the Tarzan Swing or tackle the high ropes crossings whilst enjoying some of Britain’s most breathtaking scenery.
