Get Creative at Hot Pot Pottery

You could take advantage of a great 10% discount on the cost of a POTTERY TRIAL CLASS (exc. delivery), join one of our ONE DAY WHEEL THROWING WORKSHOPS, hire a POTTERY PAINTING KIT or we can design a CREATIVE BREAK specific to your needs.

Pottery Trial Classes

Our popular pottery trial classes are great fun and are in our well-equipped studio.

We take 2-8 people (min. class size =2) and they can be booked Thurs – Sat (10.30-12.30). Classes cost £40.00 per person plus £17.50 (between you) for onward delivery of any pots you leave for us to glaze and fire for you (if required).

You get to try 3 pottery techniques (wheel throwing, pinch pots & tiles) and leave up to 3 favourite pieces each for glazing and firing with a choice of house glazes. We start our class with demos of the techniques but have also produced 2 on-line videos (THROWING ON THE WHEEL & PINCH POTS & TILES) to give you an idea of what to expect.

At present, due to Covid-19 distancing requirements, our ability to allow people in the studio purely to observe a class is limited. Please contact us if you want to bring others who are not participating. Dogs are also usually very welcome but due to the current situation, please contact us if you wish to bring your dog.

Pottery Painting Kits

Ever fancied painting a plate, mug or piggy bank? We have a range of pre-fired pottery blanks for you to have fun painting.

At the moment, due to Covid-19 social distancing requirements, we can’t offer pottery painting in our studio so we have put together some great pottery painting hire kits which you can hire and enjoy in your cottage. Each kit is suitable for use by up to 4 people (min group size = 2).

Pottery painting costs £6.50 per person plus the cost of the piece(s) you choose from our range (£4.75 £10.50) plus a £20 deposit (cash) per kit.

We fire on a Sunday and collection is from 9.30am Monday morning. If a firing is not due while you are here/you are not able to collect then delivery is £17.50 between you for a box(es) one UK address.

One-Day Wheel Throwing Workshops

Roughly once a month on a Sunday we also run a one-day throwing workshop. This is a small group of 2 min. 4 max. with your own wheel for the day and includes lunch, all materials, decorating with slip (coloured liquid clay) & leaving up to 6 pots with us for glazing and firing. The workshops are £140.00 per person plus a one-off cost £17.50 for delivery of all pots to one UK address (if delivery is required).

Hiring Our Pottery Gallery/Shop For A Private Browsing Session

Due to social distancing and the intimate nature of our pottery gallery/shop, browsing sessions will be offered to one individual, family, household or bubble at a time and we will leave you to browse unaccompanied (on trust!).
